"About David Thayer, Realtor®, Pacific Sotheby’s, International Realty. I cannot tell you how fortunate I was to be referred to David Thayer of Sotheby’s International Realty. We met first through email. I explained I was moving back into the San Diego area after living many years in Arizona. I discussed with David the location, size, living situation, and the financial parameters that I wanted to be in. I explained that my daughter lived in the area and she would be my eyes and ears, most of the time, to view a listing, as I could not come back and forth multiple times. It is very refreshing to meet someone who gets service to the client. Almost immediately David started presenting me with listings based on my criteria. If I chose to see a listing we did it virtually with my daughter present, along with David. David’s response time to my questions or thoughts about a listing was always prompt no matter the time of day or night. I found David to be not only intuitive about me as a buyer but about the sellers as well. A property was found. David and I discussed the offer I wanted to make and the offer was presented. There were multiple offers presented several of the cash. I had reached my financial limit on the property. But David is a creative thinker and discussed with my ideas that would make a difference to the owner taking my offer. Which is exactly what happened. David Thayer made me feel that he was working for me. He was responsive and creative. He was knowledgeable about the area that I wanted to be in and the values in that area. He demonstrated that he cared that I got the property that I wanted and was willing to help me get it. David Thayer is an excellent Realtor®. He is about his clients. Lastly, he loves what he does. In working with David, I never felt like he was "selling" me a house. He took the time to listen to what I was looking for and constantly searched the market for my needs. Once he found a place of interest, he never "pushed" it and was always objective when going over the details. Meaning, he would point out the positives and negatives of any place, but ultimately would come back to if it was the right buy for me. This led to finding and purchasing my new home.
