When Julie and I founded Thayer Coastal Homes as a husband and wife team, we knew our dynamic would be one of the things that set us apart. I focus on strategy, negotiation, and guiding our clients with clarity and confidence. Julie brings structure, creativity, and an eye for design that elevates each step of the process. That balance shapes not just how we operate, but how we deliver a client experience that’s focused, proactive, and built on trust.
What started with just the two of us has grown into a like-minded team of professionals who share our values and hold themselves to the same high standard. We approach each transaction with precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering results in the luxury real estate market. While my life and career have taken me across the country, San Diego has always been home. I’ve built my business around a deep understanding of the region’s distinct neighborhoods and the coastal modern lifestyle that makes living here so unique. That local insight, combined with a strategic mindset and strong attention to detail, is at the core of how I work with clients.

Over the years I’ve built relationships with top-producing agents both nationally and globally, allowing me to offer trusted referrals, targeted exposure, and a more personalized experience for clients navigating moves in and out of San Diego. That includes my role as the exclusive San Diego partner of the Elite Sport Network, a select group of Sotheby’s agents who work with professional athletes and high-profile real estate clients.

After earning my Business degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business, I furthered my studies in finance at the London School of Economics. My professional background spans both the real estate software industry and corporate men’s fashion, where I developed a strong eye for branding, presentation, and consumer behavior. That experience continues to shape how I approach real estate, blending creative vision with data-driven strategy and skilled negotiation.
I’ve always approached life with a work hard, play hard mentality. Staying active is a big part of that, whether I’m surfing, playing tennis, hiking, on the ice playing hockey, or heading to the mountains to ski. I’m also a father to two young kids, and our time as a family is something I prioritize. Julie and I are both fully invested in what we’re building, at home and in business, and we’re always working to maintain that balance.
With a background leading marketing teams for global beauty and aesthetics companies, Julie has a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of how to build and maintain a brand. As my wife and co-founder, she shapes the visual direction of our business and guides how we show up across platforms, ensuring everything reflects the level of quality we stand for.
She also helps keep things organized behind the scenes and supports the growth of our team, making sure everything stays aligned and moving forward. Her ability to connect design with systems strengthens the way we work and the experience we deliver.
That same energy carries into our day-to-day life together. Whether visiting a new restaurant, browsing a local shop, or finding her flow in a yoga class, Julie is always moving with purpose. At home, she’s a hands-on mom who’s always looking for fun things to do with Gemma and Vaughn, from local events to beach days and neighborhood adventures. It’s a rhythm that shapes how we live and work together.
